SpaceCraft Modding, Console Commands & Save Files
Everything tinkerers want to know: modding status, save file paths, config tweaks, console / cheat support and the Discord.
Mod support — current status
At Early Access launch (May 20, 2026) there is no official mod or Workshop support. Shiro Games has confirmed mod tooling is on the roadmap, scheduled for Phase 3 ("Worlds Update"). Until then, the game uses server-authoritative validation that blocks client-side mods.
Console commands & cheat codes
Live MMO servers do not allow cheats. A debug console exists in the offline Demo (open with backtick `) for tutorials, but commands are stripped on the live shards. We'll list private/test-server commands once dedicated-server tooling ships.
Save file location
Default paths:
- Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%/SpaceCraft/Saves/
- Steam Cloud: enabled by default
- Demo only — live MMO progress is server-side
Config file settings
Edit config.cfg in your save folder for advanced graphics:
- fov_cockpit — float, 60–120
- render_scale — 0.5–2.0 (DLSS-equivalent)
- vsync — 0 / 1 / adaptive
- fps_cap — int, 0 = unlimited
- hdr — 0 / 1
Official Discord & community
The official SpaceCraft Discord is run by Shiro Games and is the fastest place for support and playtest invites. Reddit and the Steam community hub are best for guides and bug reports.
